ROCK STEW

Written by Brian Cook

I love stew. How about you?

How do you make it? What do you do?

You put a rock in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew, Rock stew

Put some carrots in the pot and stir it around

Stir it around, stir it around

Put some carrots in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew

I love stew. How about you?

How do you make it? What do you do?

You put a rock in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew, Rock stew

Put potatoes in the pot and stir it around

Stir it around, stir it around

Put potatoes in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew, Rock stew

I love stew. How about you?

How do you make it? What do you do?

Put a rock in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew

Put some celery in the pot and stir it around

Stir it around, stir it around

Put some celery in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew

I love stew. How about you?

How do you make it? What do you do?

You put a rock in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew

I love stew. How about you?

How do you make it? What do you do?

You put a rock in the pot and stir it around

What do you got?

Rock stew

Carrots, and celery, potatoes and peas.

I’d like some yummy rock stew, please.

WALLY THE WALRUS

Written by Brian Cook

Wally the Walrus and his family

They lived on an iceberg in the Northern Sea

With his brothers and sisters was happy as can be

What did he do? He groaned

When his mum and dad were fishing, fishing in the sea

He’d stick his flipper in the water, so carefully

Wally didn’t like to go in the water, you see

What did he do? He groaned

Wally, oh Wally, come swim in the sea

Way up north in the Northern Sea

Wally, oh Wally, go Wally go

You’re the best walrus that I know

Well, the pups were all playing, and swimming in the sea

Splashing around so happily

But Wally stayed on the ice, “Swimming’s not for me”

What did he do? He groaned

Well one day he was lying on the ice by the sea

When mum and dad were fishing for the family

He heard a crack, and he waited so patiently

Then the ice broke away, and he floated out to sea

Wally, oh Wally, come swim in the sea

Way up north in the Northern Sea

Wally, oh Wally, go Wally go

You’re the best walrus that I know

Wally the Walrus was floating away

Out to the ocean far away

He heard his brothers and sisters calling out to sea

“Wally oh Wally where can you be?”

He got up his nerve and dove into the sea

And he swam, and he swam through the wild ocean sea

He made it all the way home to his big family

What did he do? He groaned.

Wally, oh Wally, come swim in the sea

Way up north in the Northern Sea

Wally, oh Wally, go Wally go

You’re the best walrus that I know

Dum di dum di dum, Dum di dum di dum

Dum, dum dum dum

Dum di dum di dum, Dum di dum di dum

Dum di dum di dum dum dum

Big bear, little bear happy. Happy as can be

Big bear, little bear happy. Singing merrily

ROCK IN MY SHOE

Written by Brian Cook

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Shake, shake, shake my shoe

Shake, shake, shake my shoe

Shake, shake, shake my shoe

I gotta get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

Got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Stomp, stomp, stomp my shoe

Stomp, stomp, stomp my shoe

Stomp, stomp, stomp my shoe

I gotta get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Hop, hop, hop on my shoe

Hop, hop, hop on my shoe

Hop, hop, hop on my shoe

I gotta get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I guess I’ll just have to take off my shoe

I’ll take off my shoe and shake it about

You know what happened?

The rock fell out!

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

I got to get rid of that rock in my shoe

Rock in my shoe. What can I do?

Well, I got rid of that rock in my shoe

POLLY WOLLY DOODLE DUM

Written by Brian Cook

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Was a different kind of horse the others would say

He could talk, he could dance, he could jump in the hay

He’s Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

He had the kind of name that was difficult to say

When people would ask him, what did he say?

My name is Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

He went to the market, what did he say?

I’d like a bag of apples and a bale of hay

I’m Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Went to the dentist. What did the dentist say?

Boy you’ve got big teeth. Do you brush them every day?

Yes, I’m Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

He loved to dance and play in the hay

When kids would come visit, he’d tap his feet to say

I’m Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

Was a different kind of horse the others would say

He could talk, he could dance, he could jump in the hay

He’s Polly wolly doodle dum diddle dum day

CAPTAIN JOE

Written by Brian Cook

I’m a pirate of the seven seas

What do you think of me?

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, I smell the blood of an Englishman

I’m looking for treasure, I’m looking for gold yo ho

Gonna fill my pockets with gold

There’s treasure over yonder I’m told

My parrot and me we’re going to find ourselves some gold

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a pirate’s life for me

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a sailing wild and free

I’m going to sail me the seven seas

And bring back gold with me

Shiver me timbers. Tally Ho. Cast-off me matey, off we go

My parrot and me we’re going to find ourselves some gold

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a pirate’s life for me

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a sailing wild and free

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a pirate’s life for me

Hey ho, off we go, to sail the seven seas

Hey ho, off we go, a sailing wild and free

GO TO SLEEP COUNT SHEEP

Written by Brian Cook

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

123456 sheep, all little children go to sleep

123456 sheep, keep your eyes shut and don’t you peep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Close your eyes and nod away

When you wake up, be another day

Dream of pirates and treasure at sea

When you wake up, right here you’ll be

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

The sandman will come and kiss you on your nose

Spin you around and touch your toes

Paint you pictures big and grand, as he

Sprinkles sand all over the land

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Fairies will come and take you by the hand

And fly with you to a far-away land

Dream of elephants and big blue whales, and

Humpty-back camels and a big pink snail

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

Go to sleep count sheep

123456 sheep, all little children go to sleep

123456 sheep, keep your eyes shut and don’t you peep

FAMILY PLACE SONG

Written by Brian Cook

Family Place, Family Place

I love to be at Family Place

A place for us to have good cheer

With our friends throughout the year

Family Place, Family Place

I love to be at Family Place

A place to come and be with friends

I hope my time here never ends

Family Place, Family Place

I love to be at Family Place

A place for us to jump and play

With our friends throughout the day

Family Place, Family Place

I love to be at Family Place

We can play here all the day

To Family Place we say, “Hurray”. Hurray!
